The Hoeft Scale

Since movie reviews come up every now and then on this blog, I thought I would give you an idea of what my ratings mean.

1- The next best alternative to watching this movie is to gouge your own eyes out. Honest.

2- This movie has almost no redeeming value. You may want to rent it if you are into the genre/actor/director, but even then, you may be disappointed.

3- This is your average movie, not good, not bad. It could be worth a rental.

4- This movie is pretty darn good. It is either done very well, or trying to move outside of traditional cinematography techniques (and does a decent job with it).

5- This is awesome. Every person should see this movie.
